We want impact to be community validated!

Social impact research sits within the DNA of our ecosystem... Because because communities need to trust that impact is real.

We work closely with business members to compliment their own social value and impact calculations (yes many businesses now promote their millions in social value & impact).

However, our ecosystem community has links out-into the areas where activity and research takes place and so we ensure these communities are the ones who validate the real results.

We harvest research from many sources, consolidate & share it far and wide.

Regional Approach

We take an umbrella, business-relevant approach to collecting regional social impact evidence. Our objective is to gather evidence across existing research sources, then empower our business members with community validated social impact impact information, to utilise alongside their main commercial information.

Civic Universities

Regionally, our ecosystem funds academia to undertake independent socioeconomic impact research, funding drawn from how business members sponsor charities & social enterprises.

Business Portals

With the UK spending c£390 billion through public procurement, there are existing business reporting portals showing social value. We help businesses use this, alongside our community validation.

Programme Outputs

Being regionally embedded through the public sector and local charities & social enterprises, we collect output data directly from front-line community activities, adding this to wider research led by regional universities and public bodies.

Cutting-edge  Research for Health Impact

The BERG F is a UK-based, internationally connected research social enterprise dedicated to improving future community health, with a disruptive approach.

Research is focused upon prevention rather than drug development, the results provided into communities to help prevent chronic inflammation and reduce increased risk of chronic illnesses.

We promote research, to let communities decide!

There is so much research, most sits on (virtual and physical shelves). This is often taken in isolation and disconnected so loses power.

We take the view that combining, understanding and sharing research is what is best for building community engagement - which for our business members sponsoring community development, means powerful brand-consumer engagement.

We ensure our business members, and the local charities & social enterprises they support, are recognised for the social impact they deliver together.
